Hey guys,

Thanks for stopping in, most of my new trade show ventures are chronicled at www.noairsoftforoldmen.com
or at my company blog at www.foxfury.com. I am still doing them and have a lot to say, just hard to keep up with all the blogs.
Any questions about shows or venues, I will be glad to answer if I have a clue about it, if I don't I will tell you that to. just post a comment here and I will get right back to you.

I still live, sometimes TREXPO East Recap

I know, you have been checking back for updates, and I have been disapointing you.
Join the club, I have been doing that all my life, just ask any on my X-wives!

I did make it to Trexpo East last week as an attendee.
No Pictures, there was very little new there to take pic's of.
A lot of the vendors that have been there in the past did not show up, but they still had a good vendor turnout.
Attendance was poor on the 1st day, due in part to a torrential downpour in the DC area.
Swift water rescue was called out a few times in the area and it made for a crappy weather day.
The second day was a little better as to floor traffic after 11.00 am.
All the vendor I spoke with had the same thought, too many people chasing the dwindling dollar pool.
I will have a booth at the Law Enforcement Expo in Columbus OH next month, so I will have a better handle on the feed back then.
Don't get me wrong, it was great to see old friends and meet some new one's.
The bottom line though for all of us there is sales, and as those drop off, more and more old friendly faces disappear.

Sad, but true

I know, I know!

Does this happen to you? I know is happening to me most every night!

OK, so I have been remiss in my duties.

First I get you hooked on my insightful insights and my witty repartee, then I leave you hanging.
Join the crowd,
You are experiencing what many women across the USA have experienced,
disappointment.
I do have a post coming on the Mock Riot that I just attended,
I will try and get to it tonight, right after I take out the garbage and vacuum,
you believe me , don't you?

See you soon.

And then Tim took his pants off and she said.........

The North Atlantic Airsoft Expo 2010 Setup Day

If you ever want to cross your product over into the untaped airsoft market make sure you sign up as soon as you can for this show next year.
Lots of disposable income still in the age group that airsoft draws.
Please see my other blog to view some pic's.
I will be updating that one each evening.

SHOT 2010, a brief review.

What can I say about the show that I did not say sarcastically in the post below this one?

1st off, the move to the Sands, I feel, hurt the law enforcement vendor somewhat. I heard time and again from attendees that they could not find who they were looking for, it was too spread out and chopped up.
I think the rooms were bad in a way, if the people did not want to see someone in particular in the room you were in, you were more than likely missed. I talked to a lot of people that said the were searching out a specific vendor, then walking the main floor. A lot of the vendors without huge name recognition  count on a flow of customers coming by their booth and "stumbling" upon them, lots of sales are made that way.
If you don't have the points need to get a good spot, your stuck in the back or in a side room and you don't get the traffic flow you need.
It was better than the chopped up mess that was Orlando last year.
I think that the show has just gotten too big.

The load in was a mess, so was the load out. I am still too pissed to talk about that yet.

I did see them wait until the booth across from me was set up, then they came by and told them the booth was too high, tear it down or leave!
I heard that this happened to at least 10 other vendors.
I did not experience the roof leaks others did, thank god we missed that experience!
The show staff itself was friendly and helpful, the teamsters were surly and did not seem like they were having a great time.
I have not seen any attendance figures yet, but it felt like the law enforcement numbers were way down.
Would I tell the company I was helping to go again next year, no I would not.
ROI is just not there for their product.
You can do two targeted shows for the price of SHOT and get to the market better.
The best thing about SHOT? All the great people you meet.

Will I go next year? I hope so at least to walk it.
Might write more later, might just let it go, we will see

What are your thoughts?
